CEO&Founder
Bright Onenwun
Bright is the CEO and Founder of Brone Consulting SMC Limited. Bright will draw upon his over 5 years’ experience in private and public accounting in Uganda to anticipate and address the issues and risks that our clients face. As the leader of our service team, Bright is available all the time for prompt attention to our clients’ needs and to answer their inquiries.

He is currently pursuing his CPA licensure with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU), He holds a Bsc of Science Degree in Accounting & Finance of Kyambogo University. He was a Senior Auditor in JP Magson Certified Public Accountants (a position he attained having moved through the ranks from audit trainee at the same firm). Bright also went on to work with Star Pharmaceuticals Limited as an Accountant and at Infectious Diseases Institute as a Finance and Administrative Officer.

He will be the Team Leader in charge of the assignments, and responsible for the overall quality and scope of all the work we carry out for our clients.
​
He has gained practice experience through being in charge of audit, consultancy and accountancy assignments including Food and beverage industry, health sector, hotels chains, manufacturing companies, charitable organisations, accounting for grant-funded projects, and audit of Government accounts and Projects- on behalf of the Office of Auditor General (OAG) as an Audit Senior, Accountant and Finance and Administrative Officer at JP Magson, Star Pharmaceuticals Limited and Infectious Diseases Institute respectively.

He has handled several assignments including external audits of accounts prepared in accordance with International Accounting Standards (IAS), internal audits, taxation advisory, due diligence, reviews, preparation of accounts; reviews of systems, controls and procedures together with the implementation of improvements; company and business valuations and restructuring; and staff training and development.

Helliot Opyem Okumu
Lead Consultant
Helliot will draw upon his over 15 years’ experience in private accounting in Uganda to anticipate and address the issues and risks that our clients face. As a leader of our service team, he is available to attend to our clients’ needs and to answer their inquiries.
​
He is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and holds a Bsc Accounting & Finance of Kyambogo University, and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) of Cavendish University.
He has gained experience through being a Manager in charge of Finance and Administration at Save the Children Uganda, Caritas Uganda, The Eastern Archdiocesan Development Network (EADEN), and Irise East African Institute and accounting for grant-funded projects which experience adds value to clients' operations.

Other Staffs
Other Staffs are University Graduates in various fields training for their professional qualifications including CPA(U), ACCA, CIA, CIMA among others and they support our Director and Lead Consultant. They have undergone thorough in-house training and have been exposed to the work we do.
